The form can be filled out on the computer, printed, and mailed in. Since the registration form must have an original signature, it must be printed and mailed. No means of submitting it electronically is available. Please see the eligibility and ID requirements for voter registration.

Canvassing Canceled for Sunday July 13th

Due to the weather the canvass for Sunday July 13th has been canceled.  We will try again next Sunday (July 20th), 2:30pm at the entrance to Wickham Park.

Upcoming Events July 2008

Hello Young Democrats,

Well, we had a great time showing our patriotism and demonstrating our support of the community at the July 4th parade in Downtown Melbourne. Including all the local Democratic candidates, the DEC, and the very impressive Obama contingent, we had quite a showing!

Now we have two more events, and two more chances to get involved, coming up this week: Friday Fest and canvassing Sunday.

Friday Fest is a street party in downtown Melbourne the second Friday of the month from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.. We always have a booth set up for promoting the Young Democrats, getting people registered to vote, and passing on information about our great candidates. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere and we have a lot of fun. We meet in front of Island Pasta at 5 p.m. Please, bring a friend and help us spread the Democratic message!

We will also be canvassing this Sunday July 13th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Melbourne. We will meet at the entrance to Wickham Park at 2:30 p.m. for a quick training session and to distribute materials. Our focus is signing voters up to vote from home and to promote our local candidates. If you’re looking to make a big difference, please get involved in our canvassing campaign. Volunteers like us helped win the District 32 special election in Brevard County earlier this year by signing up thousands of voters to vote absentee. Democratic Rep. Tony Sasso then won by a little more than 400 votes! Your efforts can make a huge difference, so please meet us this Sunday for canvassing.

Our next general membership meeting will be 7:00 p.m. July 23rd at the House of Joe in Melbourne.

More updates to come soon. For more information you can contact me via email: eddieschwieterman@brevardyoungdemocrats.org

Thanks for all you do!
